The Greenwood Project was a well needed facelift for the exterior of a house left to age. The finished product had to be strong and large for the scale of the property, and have a country feeling for the rural setting it adorned. The neighborhood was aging in the same manner as this property and we knew that the sheer vastness and simplicity would certainly draw the eyes, as it does. The homeowners annuals and care add to the ever changing color in the gardens.

The Pickering project was a well deserved facelift added to the list of many upgrades this older home was receiving. As with the interior space and based on the Clients personalities, obvious preference for quality, and the request for professional and clean looking property, we decided that the use of Square Cut Flagstone was the perfect solution. Covering the porch, as a Soldier Course on the Driveway, and even a bench of matching stone to accentuate the front entry. A definite show stopper!

The Ajax project was a blank slate backing onto a Natural ravine. We had to take advantage of the beauty in the Natural back ground and use it as the theme for the pool area and then incorporating the requested Children play area for their play set, relaxing hot tub area with custom privacy screen, the fire pit /barbecue/entertainment patio, all blending nicely to accommodate the needs of everyone using the space. The front was created as a simple but professional looking entry not overpowering the home and not understating the Clients. Custom pieces really made this property unique.

The Pickering #2 project is a perfect example of natures beauty juxtaposed with the precast permanence of pavers and pools. Natural Armor Stone, Indian Flagstone, and soon to be flourishing Pagoda Dogwoods, Japanese Maples, and easily maintained perennials all combined to add the elegance and formality to this once plain back yard. The previous landscaping although only a few years old was in need of repair and so there was ease in extending the patio from beneath the raised decking.

The Pickering #3 project was a clean slate waiting to be developed into a useable area for the kids to enjoy and the parents to entertain and relax. The project required a great deal of retaining wall which was used to effectively incorporate some pocket areas for plant materials...The yard has plenty room for growth to accomodate more privacy plantings and structure. The front of the home was in great need of restructuring and updating which was accomplished again with necessary retaining walls juxtaposed with Armor stone keeping the theme of natural with precast going but softened again with plantings. Now it has the well needed curb apeal and ready for paving.

The front yard was installed in 2004 to formalize the entry and add seating for homeowner. Natural Flagstone miter cut coping was used to add the formality. Inset lighting on the stairs and planter pillars to add interest. The backyard was added in 2005 and with such a huge yard, doing anything small would have looked out of place and downplayed the actual scale of the yard. For this reason we used large Armor stone rockery to build a huge, double staircase joining both patio door exits. The oversized pool would look out of place with a small patio so in keeping with scale again we went big. The ravine in the backyard worked well with the natural stone and easily maintained perennials were installed to soften the added landscape. Another show stopper!!
